Poly Content connect server not accessible over web-interface
1.- Introduction.
Poly Content connect server not accessible over web-interface. Since the beginning of 2021, you may have experienced that Poly Content connect servers are not accessible over web-interface, since most of the browsers have stopped supporting Adobe flash plugin.
Unfortunately at the moment of writing this entry, there’s no other way to access Poly Content Connect servers (PCC), than using Adobe Flash.
You could either use some older version of a browser with Flash working or contact Harman to get such browser.
PCC Admin UIs can be administered with web browsers not upgraded after 12/31/2020.

Please see this tech alert: https://knowledgebase-iframe.polycom.com/kb/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=44950&sliceId=1&cmd=&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl
«PCC is end-of-sale (12/31/2018) and Poly shall provide support for PCC through the end of active support contracts. In order to continue using Flash to access the PCC Admin UI, please refer to Guidance section below.
Guidance
- Preserve a web browser version older than 12/31/2020.
- Contact Harman (Adobe’s preferred partner) directly – Link to purchase license for a Flash enabled web browser.»
2.- Workaround
You can try to follow these steps.
For example, on a Windows 7 / Windows 10 64-bit system, open the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, open with notepad as administrator the file «mms.cfg» and add a new line
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1004528ProtectedMode=0
and then close Notepad, saving your changes.
It could be something similar as this example screenshot.

Afterwards, open Internet Explorer and type the IP address of the Polycom RealPresence ContentConnect Server, and you should see that now, you are able to get the initial sign-in page, as in this example screenshot.

You can try afterwards, entering the corresponding web credentials, to get into the Polycom RealPresence ContentConnect Server, and you will see something similar to this screenshot.

It looks like, you will be still able to administer the Polycom RealPresence ContentConnect server with this workaround.
